Easter in the Park 2006
4-17-2006

One of the high points of Spring for me is Pooch Parade at Easter in the Park at Lee Park in Dallas. This year I was emcee again! It was hotter ’n Hades…but we still has so much fun.

I wore a gigantic hat, fashioned by couturier Nicolas Villalba…he’s the cute boy pictured with me…

If you ever want
the fab frock of your whole life, he will make you a one-of-a-kind number that will make you look better than you ever thought possible…ah, the magic of the couture.

The Parade saw all manner of Easter garb…

These were the “Give Peeps a Chance” boys, check out their blog at www.sonotright.com. They truly are so not right. (Them boys and I need to collaborate next year!)

The dogs were working the runway, as well. My two personal faves were the little sassy dog…

And the big fairy dog…

Yes, the dog is PINK….love!

Speaking of big fairies…

You don’t see this so much anymore and it’s really too bad because we want to encourage everyone – equally — to unleash their inner divas.

The whole day was great. Many more families than before, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra played, conducted by the super-cute assistant conductor Danail Rachev.

I hope to see you next year…I’ll be the one in the big hat!
