Macho Men With Great Legs

Dallas is a pretty macho city. (Which is why the women are so strong…they have to stand up to the men.) There’s a fair amount of cowboy bravado left here and the Dallas Diablos Rugby team is no different. They are a brawny, hairy, muscular bunch of jocks that play a mean game of rugby. That they are a gay rugby team makes no never mind…except when it comes to fundraising.

To make money for their trip to New York (to play in a big international tournament) a talent show seemed the natural thing to do.

I was invited to host the Talent-less Show at Woody’s bar. Being that I’m basically a drag queen trapped in the body of a straight woman, I was all too happy to assist. Plus, it gave me an opportunity to wear my new dress from Sequin Queen! Now I want one in every color.

It was particularly interesting in that these boys were in drag since most of them have only a passing acquaintance with depilation.

I’m not quite sure how much money was raised, but the point is that these paragons of gay masculinity...
 


had a chance to unleash their – hairy – inner divas.

Oh, and short skirts are a good thing if you’re a rugby player – the sport gives you fabulous legs!

PS: I ran into a very special buddy…

‘Cher’ a.k.a Wayne Smith. Turns out that she can do her hair and makeup in half an hour flat! Looks like I need to learn to pick up the pace.
