Tables that are Tops

This past weekend was the Dining by Design event benefiting DIFFA. All these insanely talented designers get together and create table-scapes that are just beyond, and then all these other people pay money to go ogle them and get cool ideas.

Well, I was on hand to help out with the festivities and take a look at the tables. They were all great but here are a few from which you could ‘borrow’ ideas…

RSVP Soiree did this table for GES...

You could try the neat trick with the long grass in the vase and the little flowers around.

Margaret Russell did Elle Decor's four square tables like this...

If you have lots of miss-matched vases sitting around your house, pile them all on the table...you don't even need flowers!

Jean Marc XO Vodka had Gregori Paul do this disco fantasy...

I have always had a thing for mirror balls. And like anything fabulous, if one is good, ten are better!

And my friends at William-Christopher Design used black and white as a backdrop for a pop of one bright color...

Pick your faveorite color and try it yourself with lots of black and white details. Co-owner Christopher Ridolfi said they threw this impeccable look together in no time flat.

We chatted at great length about things he likes and dislikes and how to create elegance in your home...even if you are on a budget. His recommendations are so good that I'm saving that part for tomorrow...so you'll just have to wait and see!
